The Repsol Foundation is organizing two training courses in Asturias and Extremadura to promote sustainable employment in rural areas

These training sessions are part of the social impact program in the areas of action of the Green Engine reforestation project, promoted by the Repsol Foundation and Grupo Sylvestris. They also have support from the Santa María la Real Foundation, within the framework of the Inclusive Energy Transition Alliance.

Training for employment in the sustainability sector 

The course “Searching for jobs in the most in-demand green sectors” is aimed at people from Asturias and Extremadura interested in finding employment in the energy transition field.

The training program consists of group sessions and individual support, adapted to the regional context and employment needs. It will include two training blocks: a cross-cutting block on job search skills; soft skills and competencies in the field of sustainability; and digital skills, job search strategies, and tools. There will also be a webinar with collaborating companies from the region. The second block will be focused on sectoral training with participants being able to choose between the two most in-demand training varieties in the regions: waste management or solar panel installation.

Training for professionals from social organizations

The course “Management of green employment programs and projects adapted to the regional context” is aimed at professionals from social organizations in Asturias and Extremadura who wish to strengthen their project management capacity with a focus on sustainable employment. 

The training program will consist of group sessions and individual support to strengthen their management of projects focused on the energy transition, ranging from planning to impact evaluation, using digital tools and management techniques.
