University Chairs
We believe in the important role of universities in the energy transition
That's why we have created our Repsol Foundation energy transition University Chairs program network
5 University Chairs to promote and transfer debate and knowledge to society on 5 key matters in the energy transition
This must be undertaken in the shortest time possible and with the lowest cost to society. Therefore it is necessary to count on all the technologies available, as well as establishing the most innovative and disruptive ways of working that allow the development of new technologies. In this regard, the university has a key role: transfering the importance and impact of the energy transition to citizens. It must also promote, with the help of science and knowledge, rigorous debate around these matters that are highly relevant for the future of the planet and society. In this framework, collaboration between academic and business environment can and must accelerate the achievement of the decarbonization targets set for 2030 and 2050.
