Webinar “Technologies of the Energy Transition: Low and Zero-carbon Hydrogen”

Action against climate change introduced a new paradigm which is known today as energy transition. Multiple factors play a part in this process, among them are innovation and the development of new technologies to advance the decarbonisation process.

Repsol Foundation and EsadeGeo have organised a new webinar to discuss about low and zero-carbon hydrogen, taking a deep look at the versatile energy carrier.

Elena Verdú, Senior Scientist at Repsol’s TechLab, will provide a flash introduction to hydrogen production and its wide range of applications across industry, transport, and power.

Dolf Gielen, Director of IRENA’s Innovation and Technology Center, and Ilaria Conti, Head of Gas at the Florence School of Regulation, they will then dive deep into “blue” (decarbonized) and “green” (renewable) hydrogen in particular, focusing on their deployment, cost projections, competitiveness, challenges, opportunities and outlooks. This webinar will also provide a clear look at the current policy landscape for hydrogen in the EU.

The session will be moderated by Marie Vandendriessche, Senior Researcher, EsadeGeo, and there will be a Q&A round for attendees.
